This cable was perfect. It was cheap and it worked without any issues. There isn't much more needed to say. My Mac Mini sounds so good playing through my surround sound because of this one little cable.
seller was very courteous and communicated well. I have an creative labs express card for my laptop but was unable to get true digital sound until I bought this. Creative labs for its box that does the same thing wanted 40.00. Great buy.
I needed to connect my Apple Airport Express to my stereo with a digital-optical cable. The Airport has the Mini Toslink output, for which Apple sells a $40 cable, albeit with RCA and other connections I don't need. This cable works perfectly. It's all you need to connect your Airport to your stereo with an optical connection.

Using it on my Macbook'07 finally - after a year of scruntin sound. - uh uh. Now I play straight off iTunes on my MacBook in a 12'x12' room and it almost becomes deafening. This makes the world of a difference in volume. WAOW.Maximum volume now (which is too loud anyway in this room) can cause the speakers to get distorted. A headphone line-in to the Z55 CANNOT give this system a good signal. with a Logitech Z55. Optical is optical - unsurpassed.
You can turn the volume up to max and it will be soft. So iPods jacked in with that little 1/4" or 1/8" whatever headphone. Clarity and everything else. A great speaker system needs to be fed properly - optical - and this little cable works.
